Hope this is the right place for this.......
I have several of the MR12 models and am hoping to find a solution to get dd-wrt on the devices. I've checked everywhere on the site and can't find the devices mentioned, with 1 exception that I will quote below.
I've looked at the FCC images but cannot tell what chipset is being used. Meraki's press releases keep mentioning 2x2 MIMO chipsets but other sites mention the Atheros chipset.
Anyone know of a solution to get these up and running or are there any plans to look into it more? I would certainly help where I could if it can be looked into.
According to member vysocan, this is a boot log of the unit, where Atheros is mentioned:
Code:

Hi all,
These AP's have TTL serial console port internally on J1, running at 115200/8/n/1
Also via wlan client connection, there is http://my.meraki.com/configure/raw_upgrade.html which allows direct firmware upgrades, not covered by warranty etc.
AP's are quite interesting to explore, They establish a ptp tunnel out to a 6.x.x.x network which is used for comms between Meraki and your AP.

I feel like we have all the information needed. I'm a hobbyist programmer but haven't done anything with MIPS in a while. Someone point me in the right direction towards building this. Again, I have serial access running OpenWRT already. I've had to jtag to SPI FLASH chips before, so lets get a roll on this, I'm not scared.

Hi all,
These AP's have TTL serial console port internally on J1, running at 115200/8/n/1
Also via wlan client connection, there is http://my.meraki.com/configure/raw_upgrade.html which allows direct firmware upgrades, not covered by warranty etc.
AP's are quite interesting to explore, They establish a ptp tunnel out to a 6.x.x.x network which is used for comms between Meraki and your AP.
regards,

Just took my MR12 from the dust and did a port scan with nmap and found this open ports.
Code:

Nmap scan report for ap.meraki.net (10.128.128.126)
Host is up (0.0017s latency).
Not shown: 63976 filtered ports, 1020 closed ports

I feel like we have all the information needed. I'm a hobbyist programmer but haven't done anything with MIPS in a while. Someone point me in the right direction towards building this. Again, I have serial access running OpenWRT already. I've had to jtag to SPI FLASH chips before, so lets get a roll on this, I'm not scared.
